I Did Not Start With a Vision.
I Started With a Work Ethic.
I joined the Air Force straight out of high school and landed in IT almost by accident. I was good at the work. I kept my head down, solved problems, and let my results speak for themselves. That was enough — for a while.
What I did not have was a belief in what was truly possible for my life.
That changed when I met Nate Brooks. He was the kind of leader who saw potential in people before they saw it in themselves. He did not just manage me. He invested in me. That single relationship expanded what I thought was possible professionally and personally.
It also made me look around.
I noticed something that has stayed with me ever since. The technology profession is full of brilliant people. Sharp technicians. Elite problem solvers. But great tech leaders? They are rare.
Not because the talent is not there. Because no one is developing it.
That became my mission. To close the gap between technical excellence and leadership impact. To help IT professionals make the shift that changes everything, from an expert in the room to a leader of the room.
